The Janesville League of Women Voters is pushing for redistricting reform. Wisconsin League of Women Voters Executive Director Erin Grunze says two bills asking for the non-partisan redrawing of legislative districts are currently awaiting hearings at the capital. Grunze says the biggest shift would be taking control of map making from partisan electeds to the Legislative Reference Bureau. During a talk on the U-W Whitewater at Rock County campus Tuesday night, Grunze urged attendees to contact their legislators and ask this limitation to representative democracy end.
