The United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement could be good for Wisconsin dairy farmers. Congressman Bryan Steil of Janesville says under the old agreement it was near impossible to sell milk to Canada. The Republican says the USMCA will help farmers get a better price for their goods. He says it’ll allow more Wisconsin dairy farmers to keep their farms, where many have been forced to sell out under difficult market pressures. Steil says the agreement will also create jobs and could also influence the trade dispute with China.
