More than one-hundred-thousand dollars in damage is caused by a fire in the Town of Beloit. Firefighters were called to the 3000 block of West Saint Lawrence Avenue just before noon Tuesday. Officials say the first arriving units found a detached garage fully involved with heat beginning to melt the siding of a nearby two-story home. Firefighters were on the scene for more than an hour-and-a-half. A 2019 vehicle and yard machines in the garage were also destroyed. No one is reported hurt. The cause is undetermined at this time.
