An Amazon distribution facility is coming to the stateline area. The Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation confirms Amazon will be the tenant of a one-million square-foot warehouse at the southeast corner of Gateway Boulevard and Colley Road. GBEDC Executive Director Andrew Janke says a lot of hard work went into making the project a reality and he anticipates positive impacts on the Beloit economy. City officials say they’re withholding additional comment until after Amazon publicly announces details about the number of jobs and the project timeline next month. Officials are quick to point out, no city subsidies went into supporting the project.
