Forward Janesville will soon be under new leadership.
President and CEO John Beckord announced Thursday he will be retiring this spring.
He’s been running the business organization for 19 years and is ready for something different.
Beckord said he’s proud of how they helped the Janesville community through the recession, and he’s excited to see the future of the city’s growing downtown.
He’s confident Forward Janesville will keep progressing toward making the city a community of choice even after he’s gone.
He plans to do some traveling and explore his options for his next opportunity.
