The Beloit Police Department identifies the body found in the Rock River Monday morning.
Police say the body of 18-year-old Jeremiah Young was discovered by a pedestrian walking over the Portland Avenue bridge just before 8:00 a.m.
Young’s family reported him missing in November after he didn’t show up for school.
Beloit’s detective bureau had been investigating his disappearance, and their initial findings do not indicate anything criminally suspicious.
The Rock County Medical Examiner’s office has not yet released his exact cause or time of death.
