Monday night’s winter weather may be to blame for a car that slid off the roadway and into the Traxler Park Lagoon in Janesville.
The Janesville Fire Department says the two people who were in the car had already gotten themselves out of the frigid water prior to the arrival of emergency responders around 10:00 p.m.
Janesville Police say the car was exiting eastbound Memorial Drive to southbound Parker Drive when it slid off the ramp and into the lagoon.
The two people who were in the car were treated on scene by first responders.
