Dave Gerber was sworn in Monday. The new Undersheriff has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, graduated from the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, and has also attended the FBI National Academy. Gerber has 24 years of law enforcement experience starting with the village of East Troy Police Department and moving to the Sheriff’s Office in 1997. He has served in a number of roles including patrol officer, detective, and SWAT. He’s even been an instructor at Gateway Technical College for several years. His promotion follows the retirement of Undersheriff Kevin Williams.
