Smart News Consumption: Separating Fact from Fiction

The Janesville League of Women Voters will host a program to help you become a savvy news consumer. Hedberg Librarian Mary Buelow will share information to help you spot errors, bias, and fraud in the news. Mary will also describe how social engineering is used to manipulate opinion and give tips when taking in information through various communication channels.
The event will be held in the Community Room at Basics Cooperative Natural Foods, 1711 Lodge Drive in Janesville on Wednesday, Jan. 15 from 6 -7:30 p.m. 
The all-volunteer local League of Women Voters of Janesville is a non-partisan organization which works to register voters, host candidate forums, study local, state, and national issues and to bring informative programs to the citizens of Janesville and northern Rock County.
