Janesville Mobilizing 4 Change is adding a Sexual Violence Prevention program. Director Erin Davis says substance abuse and sexual violence are often related. Davis says people who’ve experienced sexual violence are more likely to abuse substances, and people who abuse substances are at a higher risk to be victims of sexual violence. The new program will involve several other organizations including the YWCA, Boys and Girls Club, and Community Action. JM4C is able to begin this new program because of a grant originating at the Centers for Disease Control.
