Beloit school board meeting to discuss potential resignation of superintendent

A superintendent change appears to be on its way for the School District of Beloit.
The school board is holding a special closed-session meeting Wednesday night to “Consider and Discuss Proposed Resignation of the Superintendent,” according to the agenda.
The meeting comes after the board received complaints from multiple administrators and employees about Dr. Stanley Munro’s behavior as the district’s leader.
Former staff members have also accused him of lying, creating a toxic work environment and failing to comply with Wisconsin Open Records laws.
Munro was named to the position in March of 2019 and officially started July 1. The potential resignation comes less than 200 days into his tenure.
