Members of the Blackhawk Golden K’s in Janesville are anxious for a little cold weather. Without thicker ice on the Traxler Park Lagoon, it’ll be hard to put the old Chevy Suburban on display for people to guess when it will sink. Regardless of the weather, the raffle is already underway. Club members say the ice has been thick enough in 13 of the last 16 years, so they’re optimistic. The club uses the contest to raise money for a variety of local children’s charities and scholarships. Tickets will be sold by club members and at several locations around Janesville until February 8th, which is the deadline to place the truck on the ice.
