A local hospital wants women to take an important health issue to heart. Edgerton Hospital Marketing Manager Sunny Bowditch says many women don’t realize their risk. Bowditch says heart disease is actually the leading cause of death for both men and women. She says women however don’t often take the time for themselves, because they’re caring for others. So it’s really important they take a moment and learn the signs of a heart attack. To promote public education, Edgerton Hospital is hosting a Wear Red Day Luncheon on February 7th with a heart healthy lunch and discussion led by a cardiologist.
