Lower water levels on the Rock River allow a Department of Transportation Contractor to resume work on the Milwaukee Street bridge in Janesville.
Senior City Engineer Matt McGrath says as a result the eastbound side of the bridge is closed to traffic, while westbound traffic on Milwaukee Street is not restricted.
McGrath says the bridge is expected to open up to two lanes again when the project is completed in early April – nearly 10 months after the original target completion date.
