Programs and services will continue unabated at the Salvation Army of Rock County. Officials were concerned shortly before Christmas when the annual Red Kettle Campaign appeared to be coming up $100 thousand short. Volunteer and Special Events Coordinator Patrice Gabower says when the fund drive falls short, officials have to review the budget and make difficult cuts. Gabower says thanks to the generosity of local residents both the Janesville and Beloit Corps were able to reach their goal. The tallies were tight with the Janesville Corps topping its $400 thousand goal by little more than $1000, and the Beloit Corps beating their $120 thousand goal by less than $3000.
