The Beloit school board is looking at giving out administrative pay increases after previously discovering some raises were given out without proper approval.
In December, the school board voted to rescind $115,000 of raises for eight administrators after determining they never received full board approval.
Executive Director of Business, Human Resources and Operations JoAnn Armstrong presented revised pay increases for those administrators to a school board committee Tuesday night, this time totaling roughly $49,000.
She said these increases will be more equitable with other employees who have joined the district at higher salaries, while also rewarding longstanding administrators for their service.
Armstrong noted that the human resources department didn’t formal salary ranges in place for administrative positions, and the board will also vote on approving those pay structures at a future meeting.
