A 21-year-old former Beloit man accused of having consensual sex with a 14-year-old girl he met at an anime convention in the Chicago area pleads guilty to a lesser charge.
Kevin Lee-Boyd Miles of Loves Park, Illinois was originally charged with a single count of repeated sexual assault of a child.
According to the criminal complaint Beloit Police say detectives were dispatched to Beloit Memorial Hospital on April 20th on the report of a sexual assault that occurred at a home on the 1100 block of 9th Street.
The victim told police she had met Miles about a month prior and that she came to Beloit for her spring break.
She told Police she had sex with Miles numerous times during the week, and decided to report it to police at the urging of another friend who she told about the encounters.
According to online court court records, Miles plead guilty to an amended charge of third degree sexual assault Tuesday in Rock County Court.
He scheduled to be sentenced on April 22nd.
