Schools can be a real boost to a community’s economy. Milton Chamber of Commerce Director Dani Stivarius says businesses often benefit from school events. Stivarius says the recent show choir invitational was huge and had a big economic impact. She says the school district is very much directly attached to business. Stivarius says that’s why it’s important for the business community to be involved in the election process and why the chamber is hosting a school board candidates forum at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the city council chambers.
