Forward Janesville Vice President of Government Relations and Education Dan Cunningham says a “Retail Roundtable” discussion with local experts Wednesday offered a lot of optimism. Cunningham says the theme of the event was more evolution than apocalypse. He admits several big profile retailers have closed in recent years, and it has been painful, but the remaining retailers are evolving to survive in a post-Amazon economy. Cunningham says this evolution can be seen in Janesville with several new retailers opening their doors in the last few years.
