Janesville Police are investigating an apparent shooting that left two women seriously injured.
The Rock County 911 Communications Center says officers were dispatched the area of Midvale and Deerfield Drives just before 3:30 Monday morning for a report of two people lying in the snow.
Lieutenant Todd Kleisner says two women were found bleeding and unconscious and were transported to a Janesville hospital.
While police confirmed they found shell casings, officers would not comment on the nature of the women’s injuries or their conditions.
The incident remains under investigation.
