Downtown Janesville will be awash in Flannel Saturday. Downtown Janesville Inc. Event Chair Courtney Perakis says this year’s Flannel Fest is sold out. Perakis says the popularity of the event, only in its second year, is a testament to the potential for the potential popularity of attractions in the downtown. She says the downtown is currently on a roll with more events and the development of the Town Square. In it’s inaugural year, Flannel Fest attracted fewer than five-hundred, but this year the numbers have swelled to one-thousand. Flannel Fest features two beer tents and outdoor games … and a lot of fuzzy plaid.
