UW-Whitewater is starting a new partnership with Cedar Crest Retirement Community to host a new series of free, public lectures.
Outreach Program Manager Kari Borne said the talks will take place every Thursday in March at 3:00 p.m. in Cedar Crest’s Gathering Room.
The theme is important moments and people of the 20th century. Professor John Pruitt is delivering the March 5 lecture on forgotten Wisconsin authors.
Borne said UW-Whitewater built a similar partnership with a retirement community in Whitewater, and they’re hoping for the same success in Janesville.
She called it a natural partnership, with Cedar Crest located so close to UW-Whitewater’s Rock County campus on Janesville’s south side.
