Options for before and after school care are expanding for Milton School District families.
YMCA of Northern Rock County CEO Angie Bolson says the Y-Care program will be offered at Milton East and Milton West elementary schools starting in the fall.
Bolson says it’s something people have been asking about since she started about a year ago.
Y-Care focuses on an educational child care program where trained staff will help with homework, tutor any children struggling in a particular subject area, demonstrate positive mentoring/role modeling and character development along with fun, physical activities and crafts. The program runs only on full days of school.
Y-Care registrations for the 2020-2021 school year are due by July 1st. A minimum of 12 kids need to register at each location for the program to operate.
