Local schools prepare for potential pandemic

The threat of a potential coronavirus pandemic has local school district’s reviewing their emergency action plans. Milton Schools Communications Coordinator Kari Klebba says the district will be taking guidance from the health department and Centers for Disease Control. Klebba says all districts in Wisconsin are currently on “stand-by” and preparing for the potential next step which could include school closures. She says a letter has been sent to parents indicating the standard practice for now will be isolation or quarantine for any suspected cases. Klebba wants to reassure the public the district is not in a panic, but is being cautions and prepared.
