One threat to preventing the spread of the coronavirus could be a lack of paid sick leave. U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin contends low income workers without sick pay may be motivated to work while infected. Baldwin and Senate Democrats are proposing an Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act. The Democrat considers the President’s plan to offer economic incentives to big business misguided, and any mechanism to provide relief should be designed to pass through to workers.
