Local library responds to pandemic threat

Hedberg Public Library in Janesville is attempting to maintain a balance between public safety and service. Library Director Bryan McCormick says the doors remain open to the public, but all programs, outreach, and activities are suspended until further notice. McCormick says efforts to keep the library clean have also been increased with special attention to disinfecting high-touch areas like door knobs, table tops, and computer keyboards. The library is also offering a “curb-side” pick-up service where patrols can call ahead or reserve items on-line and have library staff bring them out to their cars.
