The City of Beloit is further reducing its services in a continued effort to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Starting Wednesday, March 18, public transit operations in Beloit will move to on-demand service only.

The city said riders who need service will be required to call 608-364-2870 at least one day in advance to schedule a trip. Passengers can book recurring rides.

Transit staff will prioritize those going to medical appointments, work and assistance services. Request calls have to be made between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The Beloit-Janesville Express will operate on its normal schedule but riders will still need to arrange transportation once in Beloit.

The City of Beloit is also suspending municipal court for at least the next 60 days.
