The City of Janesville activates it’s Emergency Operations Center in an effort to help slow the spread of Coronavirus.
Management Information Specialist Molly Nolte says essential city services like police, fire, sanitation, and engineering will continue but the City has made some adjustments.
As a precaution the city is canceling all recreational programming, pulling permits for gatherings over 50 people, closing the ice arena, the senior center and the library, and canceling visits and tours at the fire stations.
Nolte says the City has established a hotline to answer citizen questions at 608-373-6027.
