A local bank invests in early literacy. First National Bank and Trust is donating $3000 to Nutrition and Health Associates to support Beloit’s Literacy for Life Initiative and United Way Blackhawk Region’s Imagination Library literacy activities. The donation will be used to purchase books for more than 1400 pre-school aged children served by Nutrition and Health Associates. Beloit’s Literacy for Life program is a community endeavor to build traditions for literacy and learning. The Imagination Library works to put a new book in the hands of preschoolers every month.
