Beloit man facing federal drug charges

A Beloit man faces federal charges after local police and the Department of Criminal Investigation busted him with more than 300 grams of heroin.
According to a news release from the Department of Justice, a search warrant was executed on 34-year-old Marcus J. Causey’s residence on March 12th following an undercover drug investigation.
Agents seized 320 grams of heroin, other drugs, and a handgun. Causey previously served eight years in prison in Illinois on a prior gun charge.
Causey is charged in federal court with delivery of narcotics, delivery of cocaine, possession with intent to deliver heroin, and possession of a firearm by someone convicted of an out-of-state-felony.
