Two people are injured following an accidental shooting in Janesville.
According to a news release, Janesville Police responded to the report of a gunshot wound at a residence on the 3200 block of Midvale Drive shortly after 11:30 Wednesday night.
The caller reported that the resident had shot himself in the leg and struck another resident within the same apartment.
Both victims were transported to the hospital by the Janesville Fire Department for non-life threatening injuries.
Investigation determined the shooting was an accident and the resident doesn’t have any restrictions on gun ownership.
