Rock County Job Center adapts services

The Rock County Job Center is adapting to an influx of newly unemployed while still trying to follow pandemic inspired health rules. Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board CEO Rhonda Suda says anyone suffering a lay-off need not wait to apply for benefits. Suda says 99% of applicants are successfully starting the process on-line at home. She says the job center’s resource room is also open for anyone needing help, but the number of visitors are being limited to ten. If a job hunter is seeking a caseworker, career planner, or other specialist, they’re advised to call first and set an appointment.
