Janesville police are investigating a shots fired incident on the city’s east side.
Officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of East Milwaukee Street Friday night just before 9:30 p.m. after multiple callers reported hearing gun fire.
Police temporarily shutdown the street in the area near the I-39/90 overpass, and officers recovered several shell casings in the road.
No one was injured in the incident, but police say a home in the area was hit by at least one bullet.
No suspects were taken into custody Friday night, but the investigation remains ongoing.
