Local health officials are urging residents to take the COVID-19 prevention measures seriously. Rock County Health Officer Marie-Noel Sandoval says shortages have already forced doctors to prioritize who gets tested for the virus. Sandoval says social distancing and other measures are vitally important to “flatten-the-curve” in an effort to prevent medical resources from becoming overwhelmed. She advises the best defense is to assume everyone, including yourself, is infectious.
