AAA Wisconsin reports the price of a gallon of gas in the Janesville-Beloit area Monday was $1.69. That’s more than $.27 lower than a week ago, and $.89 lower than a year ago. Statewide the average gallon price Monday was $1.81, and the national average was more than $200. AAA says the price of crude oil is driving the drop. The price of crude dipped to $22.00 a barrel over the last week. An amount not seen since 2002.
