Rock County health providers and first responders asking for protective equipment

The widespread shortage of personal protective equipment is hitting Rock County.

Rock County officials issued a plea to the public on Tuesday, asking if any community members or companies have masks, gowns or face shields available for use.

The county’s emergency management team is seeking donations of the equipment but may be willing to pay to acquire larger amounts from area businesses.

The masks would go to health care providers and first responders who are risking their health and wellness to serve the community during the coronavirus outbreak.
