Reconstruction work on the Interstate isn’t just on schedule, it might get a little ahead, thanks to the “Safe at Home” order. DOT Project Spokesman Steve Theisen tells Your Talk Show on WCLO lower traffic volumes are allowing workers to extend the hours of daytime lane closures. At the same time, Theisen says the DOT is working to make it easy for truckers, by keeping the rest areas open so they can deliver much needed consumer goods and health supplies on time.
