A local poultry producer is adapting part of its business to deal with a surplus brought about by the pandemic. MacFarlane Pheasants in Janesville General Manager Sarah Pope says white table cloth restaurants are closed and cruise lines aren’t making many orders in the wake of the current health crisis. Pope says offering curbside pick-up of their products and free delivery within 15-miles should help them as well as the community. She adds pheasant is a healthy alternative to chicken, even when it’s not sold out in the grocery stores.
