Economic relief may be on the way for local businesses. Forward Janesville Vice President of Government Relations and Education Dan Cunningham says the $2.2 trillion relief package passed by Congress shows government can help in the current crisis. Cunningham says the most interesting part of the CARES Act is the “Paycheck Protection Program” which offers businesses potentially forgivable loans, if employee and wage levels are maintained. He says says Forward Janesville is planning a series of educational teleconferences to help local businesses both understand available programs, and how to navigate issues resulting from the pandemic.
