The awards program may be delayed, but the Sustainable Janesville Committee is moving forward with accepting applications for the 10th Annual Sustainable Awards. City Environmental Technician Matt Robinson says it’s important to push these issues to the forefront, even in times like these. He says any resident can nominate a Janesville business, community group, or individual citizen for demonstrating a commitment to sustainability. Issues include use of renewable resources, energy efficiency, and water conservation. This is the 10th year for the awards. Nominations can be filed on-line through the city’s website. The deadline for nominations is April 10th.
