Shopping alone may be safer for families

Some families might want to take better precautions while shopping for essential goods. Janesville City Manager Mark Freitag says while he was grocery shopping alone Saturday, he was concerned to see several members of a family shopping together. Freitag recommends only one member shop to limit the risk of bringing COVID-19 back to the home. He suggests families eager for an outing consider visiting one of they city’s many parks or trails. The Centers for Disease Control does say COVID-19 may survive on some surfaces for days after being touched by someone infected with the virus.
