Local businesses will have their first chance to apply for aid through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act starting Friday. Janesville Economic Development Director Gale Price says forgivable loans from the Paycheck Protection Program will be administered through the Small Business Administration. Price says the loans can be used for rent, mortgages, and payrolls. He says this could help small businesses keep their clients and staff through this downturn.
