Some local churches have found a way to gather parishioners for service and still maintain social distancing. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Janesville has turned to a drive-in worship in the parking lot. Pastor Don Decker says about a hundred cars turned up for the first attempt last week during Palm Sunday, and he expects more for Easter. Decker says congregants appreciate being able to gather, even if they’re waiving to each other from the confines of their cars. He says it’s been difficult preaching in an empty sanctuary for the short range radio broadcasts, but the youth group has been having parishioners email in photos to put in the pews.
