The Janesville City Council will have a new make-up after the spring election. Newcomer Susan Johnson garnered the most votes with council President Richard Gruber failing to win reelection. Johnson says one of the challenges facing the new council is one none of them expected when their campaigns began, and that’s how to recover from the coronovirus outbreak. Gruber mentioned what an honor and privilege it’s been serving on the council these last five years. Incumbents Paul Williams and Paul Benson also won re-election.
