Janesville offiicals appear concerned some residents aren’t taking the COVID-19 health recommendations as seriously as needed. Fire Chief and Emergency Operations Incident Commander Ernie Rhodes says during his weekly trip to the grocery store he only saw two in ten people wearing face masks. Rhodes urges everyone to wear a face mask in public. He says the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation indicates we are currently at the peak of the pandemic, which means the potential for exposure is also high. He says wearing a mask is one way to continue helping flatten the curve in the number of pandemic cases.
