Town of Milton board supervisor running for Wisconsin State Assembly

A Milton woman announces her campaign to run for State Representative in Wisconsin’s 43rd Assembly District.
Town of Milton Board Supervisor Beth Drew is running as a Republican challenger to Democrat Don Vruwink of Milton in the November election.
“Right now, I see that there are so many ways in Wisconsin that we have been able to bind together to continue to move forward in these troubling times, and I feel that this is a way that I’m going to be able to help as well,” Drew said. “With my background in nursing and also in small business, I feel that now more than ever is the time for me to step forward to help.”
Drew has owned and operated Small Wonders Learning Center in Milton for 22 years. She graduated from Edgewood College with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and has previously worked as a registered nurse.
Drew has served multiple terms on the town board, winning re-election on April 7 in an unopposed race. She has also been part of the joint fire commission and the Rock River Boat Patrol.
The 43rd Assembly District includes the cities of Whitewater, Milton and Edgerton, Lake Koshkonong and the village of Footville, crossing over into Dane, Jefferson, Walworth and Rock counties.
Vruwink has held the seat since winning the 2016 election, replacing Democrat Andy Jorgensen after he did not seek re-election.
