The Bureau of Indian Affairs may have approved the Ho-Chunk casino project for Beloit, but it could be a while before construction begins. Ho-Chunk Nation Public Relations Officer Ryan Greendeer says the Governor has a year to make a final decision. Greendeer says the Governor will be on the spot, and a lot of people will want him to take his time in reviewing the application. The Ho-Chunk are eager to begin construction, but admit safety concerns over COVID-19 could cause delay.
