Beloit man held on another $25,000 bond after accused shooting

A Beloit man is being held on a $25,000 cash bond for a shooting committed while out on bond from an attempted homicide charge.
35-year-old Anthony Gibson was arrested in South Beloit on March 30 for recklessly endangering safety by use of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon, and he made his initial court appearance Tuesday.
“It’s a very strong case,” assistant district attorney Mason Braunschweig said. “We have him on very clear video evidence shooting at the truck, after an individual just got into it.”
Gibson was free after posting a previous $25,000 cash bond set in his pending attempted homicide case from 2017.
He’s accused in that incident of shooting a 32-year-old man in Janesville, injuring him in the chest and back.
The attempted homicide case is scheduled for a plea and sentencing on June 5.
