Pandemic not slowing business for area watercraft shops

Wisconsin’s safer-at-home order hasn’t been bad for business for a Janesville watercraft shop.
Rock County Jet Ski owner John Zigler has had record days of parts sales and repairs in the last month, with residents eager to practice social distancing on the water.
“If you get closer than 6 feet, you’re going to run into each other,” he said.
Zigler said Janesville has long been a city supportive of jet skiing, but he’s been surprised to see the interest continue to hold strong during the COVID-19 outbreak.
He’s grateful for the continued business as so many others have struggled through the pandemic. His own wife runs a hair salon that’s been closed under the Governor’s mandate.
Evers’ latest executive order allows for outdoor recreational rental businesses to re-open as of Wednesday morning, but Rock County Jet Ski had remained open as an essential business because it offers parts and repairs.
