Beloit woman charged with attempted murder for accused hit and run, stabbing

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of the suspect in a hit and run and stabbing in the Town of Newark last weekend.
21-year-old Alondra Gallardo of Beloit is charged in Rock County Court with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
Police said Gallardo was driving with two male friends early Sunday morning after they went out drinking. One victim said they pulled over to the side of the road so the other male could urinate.
He told police Gallardo took the other male’s phone, threw it away from him and got back into the car. She then ran the man over with the vehicle, according to the other victim.
When the second man confronted her about the crash, he said she pulled out a knife and began stabbing him in the head and neck mulitple times.
Police were unable to locate her with a drone and K-9 unit after she took off on foot. Officers arrested her on Monday at her residence in Beloit.
She made her initial appearance in Rock County Court on Wednesday, when a court commissioner set her bond at $10,000 cash.
